About

The Annual Fall Lantern Walk is a magical, seasonal tradition that is designed to help both kids and grown-ups alike welcome the coming darkness that winter brings, and embrace this natural change with joy! Upon arrival, families will be welcomed by a few interactive stations, where children and adults can engage in simple, hands-on nature-based activities together. To officially kick-off the walk, we will form a circle and sing songs about light, nature and hope, and then, as twilight sets in, families and friends will gather with their homemade lanterns, radiating warm, soft light. Lastly, we will embark on a peaceful walk through the crisp autumn air, guided by the soft glow of all our lanterns. And, our lanterns will not only illuminate the way, but also symbolize the connection between humans and the natural world.

This year, Rooted In Play Outdoor Learning and Grow Outside Nature Play come together to host this special event, that is so near and dear to both of their hearts. The Annual Fall Lantern Walk fosters a sense of wonder, curiosity, and appreciation for the outdoors, creating lasting memories for all who attend. We are so excited to have families join us in this most special tradition!
