Summer Solstice Celebration
Summer Solstice—the longest day of sunlight and the official start of summer—we come together to sing, share gratitude and enjoy sensational, celebratory activities! Gather at the park for this FREE, family-friendly event, to create your own nature crown, sing songs about our sun, enjoy a meal or snack outside, make wishes for the season ahead and share our gratitude for each other and nature.

Outdoor Classroom Day!
Come celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day and support outdoor-based education, as we explore our outdoor classroom and a very important creature. We’ll give kids the chance to learn through play, by taking on the perspective of hardworking bees! Registration is required.

Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day and Rooted in Play Outdoor Learning is throwing a party for the Earth! With muddy treats and a community trash pick-up, our Earth will be sure to feel the love. Free to join and registration required.

Pop-Up Class: Lantern Making!
In preparation for our annual Lantern Walk, we’ll use tissue paper and glue to turn ordinary jars into lanterns that can light up the darkness of the evening, help us learn to embrace change, and connect us to the cycles and rhythm of nature.
Nature Play Date: Fall Brew!
Join me at the park on October 31 for a special nature playdate—Fall Brew! We’ll read Room On the Broom by Julia Donaldson, and then mix, mash and mull our very own pretend, magical brew!
Take Me Outside Day: Nature Art Challenge
Are you in to get out? Join me on October 17 for the Take Me Outside Day Nature Art Challenge! We’ll gather at the park to create our own nature mandala, inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, and help raise awareness for outdoor learning and education. Learn more and participate!

Fall For Autumn!
It might still be summer, but the shift in seasons is already happening. These moments of transition offer great chances to slow down, take note and marvel at the natural world. That's why I'm hosting a free, community nature activity designed to help kids and grown ups experience wonder at the treasures nature provides. RSVP required.
