The Discovery Nest
The Discovery Nest is an outdoor education program, designed to provide the tools and skills families need to play, laugh, wonder, learn and grow together. The content and activities will inspire child(ren) 3-7 years old, to learn important language, math, reading, art, health and science skills while exploring topics about wildlife and nature.
Once per month, we’ll gather outside and introduce a new and exciting nature topic, which will be the main focus of our outdoor exploration and learning. This winter, families will get the chance to explore the following topics:
Wild Animals vs. Tame Animals
Animal Adaptions
Animal Tracks
Time & Location
Class meets the third Sunday of each month at 10am (winter class dates: Dec 15th, Jan 19th, and Feb 16th), and runs for ~90 minutes.

Also, each child will be provided with their own nature journal and grown-ups will be sent a “Home Connections” email, which includes a couple easy and fun activities to try at home with your child(ren) during the current month. Classes include plenty of time to get to know one another in an outdoor environment, too!

Addtional Information
This program predominantly utilizes the Growing Up WILD curriculum, which was created for kids ages 3-7 years old, however, interested children 18m and older are welcome to enroll and participate. The Discovery Nest is intended for families to enjoy together, and parents/caregivers are required to be present and, if desired, participate alongside their child(ren).
